Fujian Sanming Forest Products Industry Corp. (SMFIC) was established in 1981,and independent corporate body carrying out centralized technical, industrial and marketing activities. Located in the Sanming district,which has abundant forest resources, SMFIC has considerable economic and technical advantages SMFIC is comprised of five forest products manufacturing and trading enterprises, and is also involved in a series of joint ventures with a number of processing factories by means of share-holding, fund circulating, leasing etc. Silvichemical products such as gum rosin, turpentine, pine oil, activated carbon, forest flavor and fragrance, as well as other chemical products and packing materials, are the primary commercial commodities produced and marketed by SMFIC. After many years of successful business operations, SMFIC now has a broad marketing network within China and abroad. SMFIC's main export products are Gum Rosin, Turpentine, Activated Carbon, and forest flavour and fragrance. These products are exported mainly to Europe, America and Southeast Asia.
