A number of 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machine tools and machining centers are designed and manufactured. Many types of machining units are provided for the first quasi-FMS Experimental Center established by BAMTRI in China. About 50 large CNC gantry type milling machines and CNC machining centers have been cooperatively produced by BAMTRI and FOREST-LINE Company of France since BAMTRI purchased the production technology of CNC milling machines from FOREST-LINE in 1980, which are widely used in the aviation industry and other industries.
In order to improve the manufacturing technology of complex structures of aircraft to meet the design requirements of aeronautical products, CAD/CAPP/CAM integrated system and feature-oriented models can be used to accurately define the structures of CNC machining parts and to generate technical process of aeronautical parts and CNC processing program. This technology provides a solution for the production of complicated structures of aeronautical products, program design and CNC machining technology and therefore is widely used in CNC milling of Ti alloy parts and honeycomb structures.
This technology is directly used to machine complicated structures of various hard-to-machine materials for many types of aircrafts.
CNC system, CNC machine, FMS (Flexible Manufacturing System) and CIMS (Computer Integrated Manufacturing System) have been developed and applied during the past several years, BAMTRI has designed and produced many kinds of multi-axis CNC milling machines and machining centers, established a first FMS experimental center in China.
The products include S-240 Multi-axis Gantry Type CNC-copy Milling Machine, 3-axis and 5-axis Gantry Type CNC Milling Machine.
