Furacili is synthetic broad-spectrum antibiotic and can treat animal desease widely, which is frequently employed in animal and aquaculture production. But Furacilin and its metabolite (Semicarbazida) residues in animal food are passed to human through the food chain, taking them regularly cause various diseases, which can lead to cancer, teratogenesis and other side effects. Furacilin was banned from use in food industry in Australia, Canada, Japan, Singapore, and analsysis of Nitrofuran was strictly implemented in Aquatic Products. Japanese positive list regulated that Nitrofuran medicine mustn't be detected out. The use of Nitrofurantoin was are classified as forbidden drugs in Veterinary medicine And Other Compound Detailed Banned in Food Animal Lists which was pulished by Ministry of Chinese Agriculture in March 2002.
Semicarbazida is determined most commonly by HPLC, LC-MS before. Enzyme immunoassays, compared with chromatographic methods, show quite advantages regarding sensitivty, simple process, technical equipment and time requirement.
