Sulfonamides is the earlist synthetic drugs, which has the antibacterial broad-spectrum and curative effect, is most commonly used in livestock, poultry, aquiculture production. Overuse of Sulfonamides can lead to its residues in food animal product for its long reaction and metabolism time in the body. Sulfonamides accumulation in human body will cause more bacterias to produce resistance to Sulfonamides, which has potential carcinogenic characteristic. Therefore, the United Nation Code of Food Committee and many countries regulated that Sulfonamides total quantity in food and feed mustn't surpass 0. 1mg/kg.
SAs-residues are most commonly by chromatographic method, this method doesn't show better effect on sample pre-processing, test implementation and practice. But enzyme immunoassays has more advantages of sensitivity, specificty, sample pre-processimg, is suitable to control and screen the massive samples. It is widely used to detect SAs-residues in animal tissue (muscle, liver), whole egg, urine, honey.
