In synthetic chemical industry: mannitol is one of the important raw materials in producing fatty acid ester, mannitol polyther and rigid mannitol ester.
In food industry: It is usually used as food additives.
In other industries: mannitol is widely used in agricultural and textile field as mollient and emulsifier.
