Rigid, polyurethane foam insulation keeps heat in the tank. Meets or exceeds the most demanding energy efficiency standards without an extra insulation blanket. Electric element assists the system only when the solar energy cannot maintain the desired temperature or during periods of peak demand. Thermostat keeps stored water at desired temperature.
