Clofentezine is used on apples (early season through tight cluster), pears, almonds, walnuts, apricots, cherries, nectarines, and peaches to control European red mites and several spider mite species. It is an environmentally-friendly, IPM-compatible product used at low dose rates, and only once per season. Clofentezine has been shown to be relatively non-toxic in studies conducted on mammals, fish, birds, aquatic invertebracious and other beneficial mites, bees, algae, and plants.
This medicine has the special effect to the acarid from the siberian elm entire fingernail (apple red spider), and holds the effective date to be long. It also has certain effect against the the younger acarid, but does not have the influence to the nature acarid of preying on and the profit insects. In Spain, Israel, Chile and New Zealand, it has been used to prevent and control on the crowns of apple and other fruit trees. Spraying before the hatching of the acarid of the orchard or the vineyard with 0.04% cream for 50% in the winter can prevent and control the entire season of the food planting leaf acarids.
