The popular name of trichloromethane is chloroform, molecular formula CHCl3, molecular weight 119.378.It is made from trichloroaldehyde with the method of alkaline hydrolysis or from hydrochlorination with the method of methanol then pass thermal-chlorination.
Use:
Chloroform is mainly used to make difluorochloromethane(F22), a fluoro-refrigerant, and also used as solvent for fat, resin ,rubber, phosphorus and iodonation. In medicine , it is used a extraction隆垄solvent and anaesthetic.
