Monochlorodifluoro methane for industrial uses(F22), molecular formula: CHCIF2, moledular weight:86.47. Using antimony pentachloride as catalyst, trichloromethane(CHCl3) reacts with anhydrous hydrogen fluoride (AHF) to form F22.
Features:
Under ambinent temperature, F22 is a colourless almost odourless gas, no combustion, no corrosion and light toxicity. When be pressured, it becomes a colourless and transparent liquid.
F22 has high thermic and chemical stability. Especially, under the condition of no moisture and below 200潞C , it can not react with ordinal metals. When water exists, it only can react with alkali slowly. At high temperature, it can crack.
Use:
F22 is mainly used as a raw material to produce PTFE resin and as refrigerant.
