Use:
Propachlor is a pre-emergent herbicide used to control broadleaf weeds and grasses. Broadleaf weeds: Wild buckwheat; Buttonweed; Carpetweed; Cocklebur; Groundsel; Jim sonweed; Kochia; Ladysthumb; Lambsquarters; Annual morningglory; Mustard; Nightshade, black, hairy; Pigweed; Purslane; Florida pusley; Smartweed, Pennsylvania; And velvet. Grasses: Barnyardgrass; Crabgrass; Foxtail, giant, green, and yellow; Goosegrass; Wild millet; Fall panicum; Sandbur; And broadleaf signalgrass.
Toxicity:
Oral LD50: 710 mg/kg in rats. Dermal LD50: 380 mg/kg in rabbits. Inhalation LC50: 3580 mg/L in rats. Inhalation of w. P. Dust for four hours caused inflammation of tracheal mucosa, 25% mortality, and haemorrhagic secretions in lungs and bronchi. Effective threshold concentration was 136-456 mg/m3. Eye irritation: Minimum concentration of 0. 01% 6. 5g/kg w. P. In rats caused conjunctivitis.
