Extraction: The oil is extracted by steam distillation from the branches, leaves and ripe fruit.
Applications: Star Anise can be employed in the flavoring for candy, beverage, and alcohol. For example the Sarsae essence is compounded by the Star Anise Oil and Holly, as well as other Spices and Herbs. It can also be employed together with other spices in confection essence. Star Anise combined with Orange Oil has superior effect in concealing septic odor of sulfide. The substance is also frequently used in medicament, toothpaste and buccal fragrancy medicament.
